Allagash
Lake
Allagash Lake is the most remote lake in the waterway.
Big native Brookies and Togue abound here. A trip into Allagash
Lake is a true wilderness experience and is also the most physically
demanding. This is why our trips into Allagash Lake are 7 days, Sunday
to Saturday. There are no motorized vehicles allowed within 1 mile
of the lake. The trip requires either a canoe trip down Allagash
Stream from Johnson Pond or a 1 mile hike from the trailhead
to the lake, then a canoe paddle (NO motors) to one of 8
campsites on the lake. A trip into Allagash Lake is truly a trip
of a lifetime. You will experience world class fishing,
spectacular views, wildlife (nesting eagles, moose, deer, and bear)
and natural ice caves to explore. Only the finest in camping equipment
is used for your comfort. All of our meals are family style and cooked
over an open fire. All you need to bring is a sleeping bag, clothing
and personal items. Upon booking your Allagash Lake trip you will
be supplied with a detailed list of appropriate clothing for the season
and a menu list for meals. Allagash Lake trips should be booked early
as we do only a limited number of trips.
Trips run from ice-out to
September 30. Please email or call for dates and prices.
